en route to ayr, sunday

tuesday 21st January:

spent the afternoon at Glenbuck Loch.

myself & Chris (Watson) are in Ayr at the Uni of the West of Scotland leading a location sound recording module & today we spent the afternoon exploring the shores around the loch where the river Ayr begins its journey. I concentrated on contact microphones and hydrophones to record the ice sheets on the Loch itself (massive creaks, footsteps of swans and snow falling from tress onto the surface) and also finding sections of the fence along the path that were singing with the increasingly strong breeze.
