mum's birthday....

so, me and Pheobe decided to celebrate the day by taking some flowers to the church at South Cave and then having a special meal to remember her - at the pipe and glass, South Dalton.

spending the day with Pheobe is always wonderful and to have her by my side today was beautiful.

thinking of mum whilst driving along the country lanes, listening to some of the music that she and I loved and Pheobe is now discovering also....

on sunday evening I took Pheobe & one of her friends to see one of her current favourite bands, The Foals. She was straight down to the front & had a great time. I could hear the influence of 80's african guitar bands & echo & the bunnymen in the music.

sweet wrappers all over the back seat of the car on the drive home....

early morning, while the sun is out, to north cave to test parabolic dishes, then driving around small roads without knowing where they go....
cooking tea for Pheobe, driving her through traffic jams to the dentist, then to her running club, waiting while she runs - listening to the radio in the car with the sound of the rain, writing her name along with a drawing of a flower on the sunroof misted with condensation, then driving her home with strawberries to eat on the way....

through words on the railings

wordless you, more powerful with words
confessing, playfulness
